Community Listening Sessions Seek Input for Aging Services

AgeWays will hold community  forums in each of the six southeastern Michigan counties that it serves to hear from older adults and community partners about prioritizing older adult services for the next three years. Older adults, family caregivers, service providers and advocates are welcome, as is the general public.

The forums are  intended to gather comments on the use of more than $20 million of federal and state funding allocated to serve older adults in the AgeWays’s six-county region. The majority is earmarked for senior nutrition programs, including Meals on Wheels and congregate meal programs.  Other programs include in-home care services, chore services, adult day services and services for grandparents raising grandchildren.

There is no cost to attend, and reservations are not required.
