Caring for an older loved one can often involve sacrifice. We know that every hour given to unpaid caregiving is one less hour you can give to earning a living and one less hour you have for your other responsibilities. It means less time for yourself. Family caregivers suffer from stress and illnesses in far greater numbers than those who are not caring for a loved one. It’s not easy, even if it’s a labor of love.
Thank you.
While our agency’s mission is to keep older adults living independently and with dignity and to support family caregivers, we could not do our work without you. You may consider it your moral responsibility to care for an aging relative, but that doesn’t make it any less important or less worthy of deep respect. You embody the values of community, service and honor.
Thank you.
It is difficult to overstate the significance of a good caregiver. They make the difference between an older adult merely surviving and one who is thriving. It’s not easy, we know. But you are showing what a healthy society that supports its elders can look like.
Thank you, from our hearts to yours,
The staff at AgeWays
