GoldenBerry Adult Day Caring Center

Montessori-inspired day program for adults with Alzheimer’s or dementia, open Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Offers socialization, supervision, medical care, meals, and activities. Lift-equipped transportation available within 15 miles. Serves Macomb County residents who cannot safely stay home alone or who experience isolation, depression, or chronic illness.

Meals on Wheels
Delivers daily hot meals and safety check-ins to homebound Macomb County residents age 60+. $3.50 suggested donation; holiday meals available.

Dining Senior Style
Provides weekday lunches, games, and socialization at various county locations. Call for site information.

Friendly Callers
Weekly volunteer phone calls offering conversation and companionship for residents age 60+.

Medical/Adaptive Equipment Loan Closet
Lends wheelchairs, walkers, and canes to residents with mobility limitations. Donations accepted.

Handy Helpers – Home Maintenance & Repairs
Assists with light repairs, pest control, safety installations, and heavy cleaning for residents 60+. Some limits apply.

Information & Referral Services
Helps residents 60+ connect with programs like Medicare, Medicaid, DHHS, and local supports. Staff assist with eligibility reviews and form completion.

Safe at Home
Improves home safety for adults 60+ through installation of fall-prevention and accessibility devices.

Senior Project Fresh
Provides $25 in coupons (May–Oct) for fresh produce at local markets plus nutrition education. For residents 60+ with income below $28,952.50 (1-person) or $39,127.50 (2-person).
