Chronic pain can be debilitating and make day-to-day activities difficult. We offer classes to help you learn to manage your chronic pain, get back to the activities you love and lessen the emotional impact.
Our Chronic Pain Management classes are built on the Personal Action Toward Health (PATH) model, an evidence-based model proven to help people learn to cope with chronic conditions. These community workshops meet once a week for six weeks. They are held in a small-group setting and are led by instructors who have often experienced chronic pain themselves, so they have a first-hand understanding of the challenges. The small group setting can help you build a support community and learn from other people’s experiences.
With PATH, you’ll learn how you can:
Right now, we are offering our classes virtually. Our virtual classes are held using GoToMeeting, an online meeting service. You can participate using your Smartphone, computer or tablet. We hope to soon go back to holding in-person classes as well. In-person classes are held in neighborhood settings like senior centers, community centers and religious centers throughout our six-county region. You can see a list of select upcoming classes on the right-hand side of this page. You can also visit our events calendar for a full list of upcoming classes or call us at (833) 262-2200 or email wellnessprograms@AgeWays.org.
There is no cost for the class, but donations are always appreciated. They help us bring the classes to more people.
